  • Springfield Writers Guild – A supportive, diverse community of writers dedicated to mentorship and growth. I’ve been a proud member for over two years—it’s been an incredible source of encouragement and knowledge.
  • SWG Good Reads – My favorite place to discover my next book!
  • Sleuths’ Ink – A mystery/thriller-focused group for genre fans.
  • Ozark Romance Authors – While they welcome all genres, their main focus is romance writing.
  • Bumbershoots Writing Society – A creative “tribe” of writers, editors, artists—even a bagpiper! Always helpful and welcoming.

Writers Conferences I Recommend

  • Between The Pages Writers Con – Held annually the full weekend before Fathers Day in Springfield, MO.
  • Ozark Creative Writers – Held the annually second full weekend in October in Eureka Springs, AR.
  • Ozarks Writers League – Hosts biannual conferences in April and October, offering workshops and networking.
  • White County Creative Writers – This Arkansas-based group hosts regular member meetings and an outstanding annual conference. Uniquely, writers can enter its yearly contests without attending the conference, though the event itself is highly recommended.
  • Writer Con – The main conference is held over Labor Day weekend but they also host a Writers Cruise earlier in the year.

Publishing, Marketing and Other Resources
